South Division Star of the Week: Michael Onda, F, Oklahoma City Blazers
The Blazers got their NA3HL days start off quite well with a a 2-1-0 weekend against the Louisiana Drillers, with Onda leading the way. The 5-foot-8, 160-pound forward was on his game early, logging 3g-6a—9pts to start the season. Friday’s OT thriller saw Onda net a goal and two assists, before setting up another goal in Saturday’s defeat. Onda was in top form on Sunday, though, where he scored twice —including the game-winning goal — and recorded three helpers as the Blazers took the weekend series with a 6-1 win. Onda’s nine points lead all Blazers skaters after the first weekend set of the season.
