The Oklahoma City Blazers are thrilled to announce that original CHL Blazers legend – and founder of the junior hockey iteration of the Blazers – Tyler Fleck will be dropping the ceremonial puck drop prior to Friday’s game against the El Paso Rhinos at Arctic Edge.
Founding the team in 2014, Fleck led the Blazers as head coach for three seasons, posting a 113-34-3 regular season record in the WSHL, including the team’s first Division Championship in 2015-16.
Easily one of the most recognizable names in Oklahoma City hockey history, Fleck played a total of 10 seasons with the CHL Blazers, and holds the team’s all-time record for most penalty minutes (1209), and sits third on the team’s all-time games played list with 515 (sitting behind only Joe Burton and Hardy Sauter).
Warmups begin at 6:35p on Friday night as the Blazers look to close out their 2020 slate of games this weekend! Visit okcityhockey.tix.com to secure your tickets!
